I have a Maxtor OneTouch III that was working and now it will not recognize on any system. When you plug it in, the computer will beep and it appears in the eject hardware area, but it does not show up in My Computer, Disk Manager, or Device manager. I was able to find the drive attached to the system (cannot remember where) and a window said that there was a driver error and asked if I wanted to fix the problem. I said yes and it restalled the driver but said unsucessful and still cannot connect to the drive. I have two computers backed up on the drive and would love to get it back up. It is not password protected or locked. Advice?
