Yesterday i opened a thread regarding a memory problem with a build (last one in my signature ) and we concluded that it is a bad memory stick. Now it is marked closed.

I contact the seller from ebay to ask a return and he was very nice for the return ... , At a certain point though he mentioned that he had tested the memory in two different machines etc . and posted all test results too ! I decided to install the memory to one of our main workstations last night. (first build in my signature p9x79 pro) the memory worked perfectly ! all 16gb at 1600. occt tests, memtest etc.

I got out the kingston from my p9x79-pro to p8z77-v
the memory is khx1600c9d3k4/16gx which is in compatibility list here ( i know it has this rediculous 1.65v but it was cheap at the time (£47)

I plugged it in and nada! I unplugged the A1 and it worked. - 12gb. Is there something wrong with my motherboard? I don't understand what is going on ?
