Proccesor- i7 3770K 3.5GHz

Ram- G Skill Rip Jaws X series 16GB

Hard Drive- Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200rpm

Power Supply- Corsair TX 650 or 750

Case- NZXT Phantom 410

Asus DvD burner.

That's a good mid range rendering/gaming set up i'd add a aftermarket cpu cooler the stock one is loud and you cannot overclock with it.Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212 evo

$35 cooler that will work magic. Seriously though, at this price, there’s no cooler out there can that beat this thing.

At this point in time, I'd have to say you will be a bit crippled for video editing. To get the most out of your system for video editing, you'll want a CUDA capable (nVidia) GFX card. Many video editing programs support CUDA including CS5, 5.5 and 6

CS7 which us supposed to be released in May IIRC will support Open CL (AMD)
