I have a EVGA Gtx 660. My processor is (sadly), an Amd a8 Black apu. My power supply is a corsair 430 watt. Before anyone says that my processor was meant to be in dual mode with the radeon 6670, I already know. Anyways, in games, they start out mostly great, with like 60 or more fps, then it slowly depletes until I'm running at like 15-30 frames. My suspicion is my power supply, could also be my processor, could you guys help? Also some games appear to be very stuttery and yet they still maintain a good frame rate.

Just played a bit of bioshock, the temps stay around 50...

what temps? the gpu or cpu? the problem you describe is almost certainly a throttling problem due to high temperatures. also check your gpu useage and throttling with msi afterburner, play a game, and when the fps drops, exit the game and look at afterburners stats, check if the clock speed of the gpu dropped when you experience the problems. also check the cpu temps and throttling, in fact turn off cool and quiet or any other power saving/throttling features in BIOS if the cpu is not overheating. Oh, and in NVidia control panel select "maximum performance mode" in the settings.

I will test the temps now, one thing though. If this is indeed the problem, what can I do to fix it?

Well, when it happens my gpu clock is at like 300 mhz, and the voltage is at 800. I havent checked my cpu, cant figure out how, how do I solve this?

the gpu is going to idle clocks for some reason. I would suggest complete driver uninstall with Driversweeper utility, it must be run in safe mode to remove everything. uninstall any NVidia and AMD display drivers with it. Download and install only the latest whql NVidia driver. I would also update the bios for your motherboard, and the video card bios if an update exists from evga's website. I had the same problem as you with my gtx660, it only seemed to happen in crisis 2 though and only occasionally, would drop to idle speeds. latest driver and going into NV control panel and changing from "adaptive" to "maximum performance" and I havnt had an issue since.

I will go ahead and do that. Real fast, I wanted to share these screenshots of gameplay and clock speeds as well as framerate.

Here is cod waw at the very start of the game. http://gyazo.com/e6596d72f33258f47a3c1d00664269e1 , 71 fps, cpu was acting normal. and the gpu was at normal speeds as well.

Fast forward ten minutes. http://gyazo.com/da97bfbd326b341ee677d8be70ac6dd0. 37 fps, and 300 mhz?

and here we are at 15 mins: http://gyazo.com/b5279b09c0353f531e0ed407cea43f38 17 fps

Also, it seemed to do fine under stress tests. http://gyazo.com/1de1ea6343c679033690379728bbff13 I just dont understand it. Will be doing driver updates and such now, will get back to you.
