I just upgraded my system last month I currently have an MSI z77-G45 Mobo with an I5 3750k 8GB of Ram and a Corsair 850watt PSU, My Graphics card is a HD6770 I play Games like WOW, Aion and SWTOR, I cant seem to ever get above 30-40 FPS on ultra Settings. Can anyone Give me a little info of what could be the issues? I have checked all drivers and everything is Great. The Current Resolution I play at is 1920x1080 My guess would be the GPU isn't that great.

P.S. Considering the money I spent on the build I opted not to replace the GPU, Budget isn't that big for one So please keep that in mind for suggestions.

As a former 6770 owner current 7850 owner that plays at 1080p I would suggest you at least look into getting a 7870. The 7850 will do 1080p at about 30fps (Bioshock, Tomb Raider) but will not quite max everything out.

That being said, if you are using it to play WOW and SWTOR-type games it will eat them for breakfast and be asking for seconds.

This is just my opinion. I wish I would have spent the extra money because I want my games to run as close to 60fps as possible to match the refresh rate of my monitors/TV.

Twice as fast as a 6770 or a 6670?

gaming performance wise. 460 is comparable to Radeon HD 7770 GHz which is definitely better than 6770

But he was talking about the 6 7 7 0.

If you can sli those 460's (which Google leads me to believe you can), I would do that and call it a day.

Im sure I can, they are the Dell OEM ones that came in the Alienware area 51 build as an SLI setup. The only thing I would need is a longer SLI bridge. As the Bottom PCI Slot doesn't have enough clearance for the Video card I would have to use the top and Middle which are a little further away from one another.

Are you not using the top and/or middle slot now? You should be as those are PCI-e 3.0 lanes that are backwards compatible with PCI-e 2.0.

Either way, when you SLI the cards, use the top and middle slot or it probably will not work. I'm basing that off of what I've read on the board from Newegg.

SLI will not work on a PCI-e 2.0 4x lane. You have to do 16x + 8x or 8x + 8x. Your board should do this with the top and middle lane.

Sorry for the long edit.

Yes i agree assuming he has a compatible sli mobo and power supply up to par

The top slot is a PCI-E 3.0 and the middle is a 2.0 I assume. The top slot is taken by the current video card (6770) and my MOBO is SLI and Crossfire compatible. Would 850w PSU be Sufficient?
