Hello

Im looking to charge my phone and insert a USB flash drive into my MP3 player in my car but any normal hub I plug in and it doesnt recognize it.

I would need a hub that provides both data/power to one port and the other port is only used for power purposes.

Is there anything like this? Thank you

More about : port usb hub data power

You can get a USB charger that plugs in the cigarette-lighter outlet. They are dirt cheap and you can get the job done easily.

Maybe there are differences between all those adapters that are out there. A friend of mine that uses one (cant remember the brand but it was a cheap one) never compained about slow charging. But maybe he didn't care at all about the charging rate. It could also be from the USB port itself. My smartphone is charging in a slower rate when i have it plugged in a USB port of my computer than when plugged with the AC adapter.

Well it does get the job done but once in a while gets in the way of my shift stick so I remove it sometimes...also the cable plug itself is a bit.....cheap and Im scared of it damaging the port on my phone.
