I have two 5850 video cards. Want to sell both of them and get one video card. I only play Battlefield 3, so that is what the video card will be used for.

Looking at this comparison of the 5850 to the 7950, the 7950 only gets 10% better Pixel Rate.

But the less expensive 7870 gets 38% better Pixel Rate than the 5850.

Between Memory Bandwidth, Texel Rate, and Pixel Rate, what is the most important for gaming? Any video card suggestions for Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4? Thank you.

If battle field is the main objective I can understand if you prefer AMD but Nvidia is a better option to have more stable frame rates. 660ti or next month the new (refresh) versions are being released that may be worth a look.

Othewise I really recommend a the 660ti if not 670.

Thank you for your suggestion. The 670 is too expensive, so comparing the 660ti to the 5850, it looks very similar in performance except for Texel Rate, which is 96% better. Is the 660ti worth buying just to improve texel rate?

Given these benches and this is your primary game:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-660-ti-...
I'd go with the 660ti.

This one is currently $270 after rebate and comes with Metro: Last Light (if you won't play it you can sell the code on e-bay).

Ignore the numbers from that site you linked - benches tell the real story. The 5850 is not in the same league as a 660ti as you can see from this heirarchy chart:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-car...
660ti is three tiers above the 5850 and that's the general "you can really see the difference" zone.

Yeah just as everyone said the 660 ti will outperform 5850's in cf and provide a far higher average and minimum frame rate.

How about 660ti vs 7950 for Battlefield 3?

My top link in last post shows the 660ti winning by 5-10% at every resolution.

BUT, if the game bundle that comes with the 7950 is more appealing that may the better deal even if it's a slightly worse performer.

If you only care about a stock clocked card then read all the reviews you want, but there has been some recent HD 7950 Boost cards that hit the market under Sapphire brand but are 100% AMD ref card with the bios switch, i got mine for $269 with Crysis 3 and BioShock and have been ruuning the card at 1002 core and 1503 memory on stock voltage .. many others with the same card have push there out more then me to around 1200 core and 1700 memory.. goodluck getting a 660ti to keep up with that.

this is that card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

and running eyefinity with Crysis 3
