I am building my first computer and I just want to know if my parts are good for their price and if they are compatiable trying to keep this under $950

Case: Cooler master haf 912

Dont know if im supposed to get this and an sdd

ok... save yourself some cash and drop that psu down to a 500-600W unit... then spend the saved cash on a z77 motherboard.

2500k is a good processor but just get the 3570k its newer and uses less power and shouldnt really cost any more also that motherboard chipset (b75) im not sure if it allows overclocking check into that and why would you want an external dvd burner with a desktop computer?? with ram also 41 bucks for 2gb sounds awfully expensive (i just noticed you have ddr2 and that motherboard is ddr3 thats why its so expensive) either way i would go a minimum of 4gb preferably 8gb. you can save some cash on the psu 750watt is way overkill a decent 500 watt of the same brand will run this system no sweat. if your on a budget you dont have to get the ssd

granted those are newegg deals... but this was just a "demonstration" of what you should be looking to do. i don't know if newegg in canada has these same deals... but the principle stands. Swap down to a lower power psu, and get yourself a z77 chipset motherboard.

please don't buy a cheap psu like a logisys... corsair/seasonic/antec... psus from companies like this are to be trusted.
