Is is a must to do a long stress test after o.c? Can I just wait for the problem to show up?

I did a short stress test for 20min, no error.

The longer you run the stress test without errors the greater chance your OC is stable. Everyone has their own idea of what stable is. Personally if I am doing an OC for a friend I test Prime 95 for 12hours and if it has no errors it is almost always stable for a couple years.. Doing a short 20min test really isn't long enough to know for sure if the OC is stable. If you don't care if your computer might crash and that you could loose whatever you were doing it is up to you. I have done "suicide" OC's that could barely even run Super PI 1M before crashing, in OCing it all depends on what you are trying to do. Do you want a decent performance boost and stability or are you trying to get top benchmark scores and run right at the border of...

Some people are in between these two extremes, their computer is stable enough for what they use it for like gaming or just normal stuff that doesn't keep the system running at full load for hours and days at end.
