Change windows enterprise back to windows 7. I would like to do one of two things. Someone installed windows enterprise on my new laptop 3 years ago over the windows 7 that came with the system. Now I want to give my computer away, but cannot use the re-installation disc because enterprise doesn't recognize it. I would like to either convert back to 7 so that my re-installation disc works or simply clean out my hard drive using enterprise to delete all of my personal information.

doesnt matter what version you are running, just boot off the original install disc, format, and reload.

I tried that. The enterprise doesn't recognize the windows 7 disc.

you don't need enterprise to notice the disk, the bios must notice it in your optical drive, then you boot off of it.

That is a little over my head. Can I find "how to" on line using your descriptions of "bios" and "optical drives"? Or, preferably, can you (or someone) direct me on how to do it?
Do the other discs 'drivers and utilities' and 'application' come into play or will I only be using the reinstallation dvd?
