Hi,
I have a Dell Optiplex GX620 with a normal HDD 5200 rpm. I was wondering if I bought a SSD if I really would feel the difference.

Thanks!

Yeah an SSD speeds up boot times a lot. It also makes your computer feel really snappy all the time. Load screens are almost nonexistent.

Once you have your OS and main programs installed on an SSD, you'll never go back to using a system without one.

yup. Just like plugging in a HDD.

If you can grab a Samsung 840 120GB. Awesome deal.

You might need a special mounting bracket. (they are cheap) Obviously the SSD is smaller than the HDD so you need something to keep it in place.

Also, it is best to do a fresh install of your OS. Trying to transfer OS and programs from HDD to SSD is a nightmare. When you do decide to do fresh install of OS, do not plug in your HDD. Install OS on SSD then restart with HDD plugged in. Also, make sure you enable AHCI in Bios.
