Upgrading my system and have settled on the 7850 series. Been researching a bit and seen that the 1GB version does better or close to the 2 GB version. Any advice before I make my purchase? Which brand or 7850 series is best? Prices seem to range a good 40-50 bucks bn the brands. Let me know what you think!

If you are at 1080p 1GB in no use, if you are below that then the 1GB card is fine. Though I'd argue to just go with the 2GB one anyway since you never know when you might be changing monitors and the like.

2 gigs, ALWAYS chose 2 gigs over one. Now most recent games will use more than 1gb vram. As for one brand over another, I suggest going for reliable brands with good warranty and after sales service like Asus, Gigabyte, Msi. There are plenty of factory OC'd versions out there too, so just chose the one that has the highest OC for the $$$.
