I have an MSI P67A-GD65-B3, 2500K, XFX 5830 and powered with Antec 500w PSU. I built 2 years ago and all was well. I bought new Gigabyte 7870 oc, and when installed I get nothing to monitor,(HDMI). Tried 2nd monitor, DVI with same result. Fans of system and 7870 spin up, but no signal, or HDD activity.
I RMA first card, and now 2nd has same results.
Prior to RMA, updated bios, bought 700watt PSU, tried both PCIe slots, I am stumped. I am aware of PCIe 3.0, and MoBo 2.1.
Thanks, todd

1)Remove the gpu , plug monitor cable to mobo's onboard output

2)start pc - go to device manager - display - uninstall whichever drivers is

3)restart pc - put gpu back

or

1)go to bios settings - set primary display device to PEG OR PCI E

or

1)Update your bios to latest

or

1)make sure you have connected vga or dvi cable from GPU to monitor not onboard on mobo to monitor

Thank for suggestion, Although 2500k has on chip GPU, P67 MoBo DO NOT support on chip graphics, thus no can do. I can not access BIOS, I get nothing to monitor, no signal at all, monitors led blinks, searches analog, then hdmi, repeatedly.

thanks, todd

Ok, the pc I am on here with is the one that gets no signal from new 7870.(using 5830) I am desperate, so, even though I have tried to boot with out the power fed to card, I had not tried to remove and boot. So, just did, and watched HDD led for signs of life. Nothing.
As to no support for on chip gpu on p67 MoBo, I have no display out plug on the MoBo, so there is NO option in bios to alter, only possible video output from board is through card.
Can't say I am not willing to try, though, Thanks
