Hello Everyone, I've recently noticed that my PC is hanging up a little bit when I shut down. When I hit the shutdown button my PC sits at the desktop, which remains active and isn't frozen, for a few more seconds before it actually shuts down. Is there a fix for this?
My hard drive is a Sandisk Extreme 120GB SSD.
On a side note, I did recently re-install Windows 7 from an old system image, but I can't remember if the shut down problems started directly after that, or some time since then.

EDIT: Upon further review, when my PC does move past the desktop, the time it takes to actually shutdown is a lot longer. I believe my start-up time is slightly slower also.

EDIT 2: Aha! I found the culprit, it's my anti-virus causing the slow shutdown. I recently upgraded from Kaspersky Pure 2.0 to 3.0
Does anyone know how to stop your anti-virus from doing this?

Thanks for the help,
Josh

SOLUTION:
For anyone running Kaspersky 2013 and experiencing this same issue, apparently it's caused by the "System Watcher" feature not working correctly. You can disable it in the settings, but obviously you'll have less protection. From what I've read Kaspersky is currently working on a fix.
