I have a windows 7 system on a H P Desk Top. I am told that I can retrieve my documents ect. from the hard drive by H P tech. They told me in order to restart my P C that I will need to down load my documents and programs before I use the start up disc they sent me or I will loose them. Do I hook directly to the hard drive from inside my p c or will it work from usb port? There is a boot problem that can't be solved without restart with start up disk. I have external hard drive.
Need to retrive my programs and documents from desk top p c that will not boot up.
