Main concern is whether an i5 + 650 Ti 2GB runs better than an i3 + 7870 XT when it comes to WoW and the other games I mentioned already.

If you won;t play any other games aside from the ones you listed, the 7870 XT would be overkill and the i3 might bottleneck it as well.

Don't get the 650 ti 2gb, it's not worth it. The card's small memory interface won't be able to fully utilize the 2 gigs of VRAM. Get a 650 ti Boost instead, which, when paired with the i5 would be balanced and cheaper build.

Why are you getting a k-version of an i5 if you're buying an H77 board? You'll be wasting cash on the CPU if you won't overclock it. H77 boards won't be able to exploit the 3570k's unlocked multipliers thus you'll be paying premium for features you're not gonna use.

On the other hand, you could get the non-k 3570 and pair it with the H77 board if you don't want to overclock.

This is my first time building a PC and I don't know how overclocking works. Is the new motherboard compatible with everything else?
