Is crossfiring two 7850 2GB cards in my new build worth it?

I just put together my new build. Specs:

AMD FX 8350
MSI 970A-G46
Geil EVO Veloce 1866 DDR3 16GB
Visiontek 7850 2GB
Seagate Momentus 750 GB Hybrid HD
Thermaltake TR2 700watt PSU

My question is will it be worth it to buy an additional 7850 and crossfire them?

Always buy the best single graphics card you can. A single 7850 is roughly about $180, so 180x2=320. With that I would get a 7950 then when I need the extra performance I would add another one. See benchmarks of the card and what games you play if it's good then get it. Also I would stay away from Visiontek. Get something from Sapphire, XFX, ASUS, MSI, Gigagbyt (I know I'm missing some).

I already have the 7850. I pulled it from my old rig that I upgraded last summer (sorry, should have mentioned this part in OP). So it would be essentially putting another $180 into my new rig. So then I should go for it?

If you crossfire the hd 7850 you will increase the performance but you would also increase stuttering issues and at this moment it is well documented that crossfire is suffering form latency problems. You are better off selling the hd 7850 and getting a more powerful card such as an hd 7950 or a gtx 670.

I have not encountered stuttering, but this is the second time I am reading about this. When did this start happening? Is it driver related?
