I am looking at option of the dual socket server HP ProLiant ML330 G6 with E5620 as my work station over i7 PC's / workstations. I would be testing Oracle clustered DB's and VERITAS clustering option with Oracle DB's and Oracle app server. But I see the memory upgrades to be costly, is there an options to avoid this without sacrificing the warranty.
Please suggest.
