I'm planning on buying a y500 in June and I'm wondering if i should just get the 650m sli or buy the single gt750m and then wait for Lenovo to release the 750m ultra-bay. is the 750m that much better than 650m? i read it uses the same kepler architecture. i want to play most games at medium settings (no AA and AF) 1080p at 40+fps

Solution
If you buy the SLI model, it will come with the correct power brick in the box.

If you buy the single card version and add the second card later, you'll have you buy it.

The performance difference is about 20% so it's entirely up to you as to whether or not the extra cost is justified. If you're wanting to play at 1080P, it probably is.

By the way, I own the Y400 and I have to say it is an outstanding notebook so the Y500 shouldn't be any different.

That's what I meant, getting the 750M ultrabay down the road. But thanks for answering my question!
