Hi community,

I recently bought a Tenda W322P+ 2.0V and it works fine, but, when i reboot the computer, i can't start my programs and go on the internet. I finally figured out that the problem was a services that wasn't starting properly. The name of the service is RaMediaServer. If i don't start it manually, i have to wait about 10 minutes for my programms to work, but still, i need to start it to be able to go on the internet. I've searched some kind of command line that could start the service at startup or something like that but i didn't find anything good. The service is always set on Automatic. Thanks for help.

Config :

- Hp motherboard (don't remember the model)
- Intel Celeron D 356 3.33Ghz
- 2Gb ram
- XP SP3

It's my wireless adapter main service, if it's not working, the card is not recognized and internet doesn't work. I've searched a bit about it and it seems that RaMediaServer isn't the same thing for me ... Their problems are all about password and admin problems ...

I see! Your wifi adapter has a Ralink chipset and that's the driver/service. I couldn't find much help on the net, so i suggest un-install and re-installing the driver first. Make sure you run the installation "as administrator". It might be a credential problem if it doesn't start automatically. Got this from an amazon review: "I suggest that it is prudent to follow Tenda's advice and when installing the software DO select to just install the drivers and not their network program also. It works a treat with Windows Zero configuration whereas their control software is not very intuitive to use."

I uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times using different versions and it didn't solve my problem. I really doubt that installing it "as administrator" will solve the problem since it works, but it's all about the service not starting. I looked at a bunch of services but i couldn't find any dependand and/or independant services that rely on this one ... This is really odd. I'm on a fresh install of XP SP3 so i will try to instyall the updates to see what it can do ... Wasn't working either on Windows 7 btw.
