Hi Guys
I need help. I want to configure a vpn between HQ and DR. My HQ router ip is 192.9.210.2 and i have a netapp production storage at HQ with ip 192.9.210.10. The router ip for DR is 192.9.119.1. We recently moved the DR storage from HQ to DR and we want to maintain its network configuration. The ip for the DR storage is 192.9.210.12. How can i configure DR storage to talk to Production storage while connecting through DR router.

Not sure what cisco router you really have i have not seen that number before. If this is a IOS based router and it has the correct software cisco offers many configurations that will allow you to build layer 2 tunnels. It will be easiest if you have extra port on the router but it can be done via vlan tags and sub interfaces.

Although you can use the same IP at a remote location it not a good design and can cause performance issues. You are better off changing the IP address and using a more standard routed solution.

Now if this is some consumer grade cisco box...ie linksys...it likely cannot do what you want.
