Looking for the Best Gaming Keyboard for Me

Hello,

I am looking for a good, solid gaming keyboard. I have seen several good ones (Logitech G710, Corsair k90, etc.) but I can't decide on one that I really like. I would prefer Blue LEDs and Cherry Mx Blue Switches, and the row of 5 or so Macro Keys(I don't need the jillion that the k90 comes with :)) The Ducky Shine 2 seems like an attractive option, but it lacks the 5 macro keys. I'm actually not sure if I'll need macro keys all that much, but it would certainly be nice to have them. Do you guys have any recommendations for the best gaming keyboard? My budget is around $100-$130, and my only requirement is that it HAS to be backlit. Everything else is manageable.

I'd suggest the CM Storm Trigger. $70 after MIR. Scratch that; apparently the sale ended, its $95 after MIR:

Laser etched keys. Steel backplate. Full led. 5 macros. 2 year warranty.

The only downside is that the backlight is red and it has no dedicated multimedia keys.

Many Corsair keyboards have a driver issue that causes "sticky keys." It is more prevalent with the K60 it seems, but I'd still stay away from them.

two good options

1- blackwidow ultimate 2013. i am using this keyboard currently am im very happy with the purchase. i love the cherry mx blues- very tactile+ perfect actuation pressure imo. got mine for about 140 usd which is not cheap

2- a game board with a cheapo keyboard- i used the nostromo for years and i would definitely recommend it. the g13, orbweaver (same as nostromo but with mechanical keys and more customization) are also one i hear are very good. if you have the patience to learn it becomes a peripheral that you cant game without

good luck in your seach

I had considered the Blackwidow Ultimate, but I've seen it receive a lot of hate. It looks really nice to me, but from what I've heard, the build quality is not that solid. If I did go for it, however, would the 2012 version be fine? I really just can't stand those green LEDs. I would much rather have the blue. I don't think there is much of a difference, correct? Just a different color and a few other minute differences?

the only real difference i can see is the matte vs glossy finish. as far as quality concerns i have had zero problems in mine in the last 6 months of usage. i have heard the horror stories and all i can say if you get a good one it is one you will absolutely adore

I've always thought that keyboard seemed a good fit since I first started looking into mechanical gaming keyboards. I'm assuming the 2012 has the glossy finish? Simply because the 2012 Deathadder has the glossy as opposed to the 2013's matte.
