used @BIOS upgrade latest online, loaded ver. FH(2M) to X58A-UD3R ver.2.0 in place of FC (1M), booted to "missing OS" , Master SSD "FAILED NOT A RAID DRIVE" can't Qflash with FF ver. (1M) "wrong file size". Not sure if MOD version would help or make matters worse? I7-930 processor 3.2 Ghz, two 128M SSDs, 12G kingston 1800. Managed to boot to DOS with USB and tried FLASHSPI but it comes back with "Bad file image" and I'm sure it is the checksum. The FH has support for RAID ROM and I don't know if that is why the SSD fails? The drives show up in Standard CMOS fine. I am sure it was setup for RAID0 before, but with this version I don't even see any reference to RAID0, just SATA3. Optimized settings sets most everything to IDE andSATA3 enabled. If I can't get these drives to load, what drive should I buy that I can load Windows, boot and use @BIOS to flas FF ver.?

did you have the 2 ssds in a raid setup? ( I have the same board and cpu )

Edit: I reread again and saw that you did.. are the ssd's in intel sata ports? if so during post ctrl + I will get you to the raid rom setup.. however in the bios, you need to set the controller to raid ( not ide or ahci )

I'm guessing your motherboard was controlling your Raid.
I would check to see if it sees the Raid array properly. My guess is that Raid got messed up with the failed update.
You should be able to go into the onboard raid controller and see the status of your drives and the raid array.
Check that and get back to me.

When I set bios to RAID or load Optimized, configuration shows VOLUME 0 FAILED and shows PORT 0 NON-RAID DISK, but shows the other SSD as Member disk (0). In bios setup I thought maybe I could change Boot Priority, but only shows one drive In IDE mode shows both drives and no drives FAIL but boots to "missing OS" It definitely sees the second drive as RAID and it was configured RAID0 before. This upgrade FH was for RAID ROM.
Well I got FG ver. to load, but same result. These are SATA2 drives, but I don't think that matters does it? I don't see anywhere to select SATA2. If I set ICH SATA CNTRLLR to RAID first drive FAILS NON-RAID. If I leave it IDE and set eSATA to RAID drives pass, but boots to "missing OS". I'm sure ther is something stupd going on,just have to find it. Do you have a bios settings for two SSDs as RAID0 for GIGABYTE?

crap. anyway to recover? I really do't want to lose everything. I have another SSD SATA3 drive I just bought hoping I could load OS get online and use @bios to load FF version(1M). I thought GIGABYTE kept original bios etc. allowing reset to factory? Also, why does it show second drive as RAID? If I go into config and select unRAID the second drive shows up, but not the first . This ver. FG & FH have SATA3 control enabled and SAT3 mode fw mode IN BIOS. Tried bypass and auto, still FAILS drive NON-RAIS.

Have you double checked in the raid rom (ctrl+I)and made sure both drives were a member of the raid? as well as having the controller in bios set to raid?

@aimsbmb: this board boots quite fast. from off to windows for me is about ~20 seconds
