This is my first build so I am not sure if I can get more bang for my buck with stuff like the mobo, cooling and psu. In the end i still want good performance out of the system. I just need to know if I am on the right track.

The build I have in mind is:
Case: Cooler Master HAF X (or one of their cheaper full tower models)
CPU: Amd fx-8350
GPU: Sapphire Radeon 7970 ghz ED
Cooling: Zalman 10x Performa
Mobo: Asus Crosshair V Formula
RAM: 8gb (2x4) Corsair vengansce 1600 mhz
PSU: Corsair hx750W

What cooling solution do you normally use ?

From the reviews I have read that cooling solution is good. It does consist of alot of parts so that might factor into your thinking. Most people have had good luck with the COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus but I have not used it myself so I can't really say. The three rigs I have now I am using the Corsair H100i water cooling solution. As for sealed water coolers go I really like the Corsair H100i although it does come in at a higher price than the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus.
