Hello Guys,

My PC is making me crazy. It's having spontaneous restarts when I play games (mostly when the air conditioner is turned off). When I build this machine everything just ran fine, but on the last months this problem is cracking my head! On the first I thought that it was a falty GPU, then I just RAM it with EVGA. Suposely received a new one (the SN looks a lot with the last one) from EVGA and I still having the same suddenly restarts problem. Then I thought it was a falty PSU, but I started to have some BSOD as well. I just don't know waht to do anymore.

I've tested the RAM memory with memtest86 during 9 hours, 10 passes and no erros. The CPU with Prime95 during 12 hours, max temp of 78° - in natural ambient conditions - and no errors. The SSD with HD Tune 2 times, no errors. Bellow are my specs and the last BSOD description on event viewer (04/28/2013 at 10:06:43 PM):

Core i7 2600k
Asus P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3
Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR3 1600MHZ
OCZ Vector 256GB SSD
EVGA GTX 680 FTW+ 4GB
Corsair AX850 PSU

I also checked the RAM timings and v at the BIOS. My CPU isn't OC anymore and the RAM is set to 1600MHZ XMP. (already tried at stock 1333MHZ, but still with the same problem).

I did some tests with the GPU as well. 1 hour on Furmark with the resolution of 1920x1080 and 4xMSAA. The Fan was running at 85% and the max temp was 66°. Had no restarts during this test, but when I tried the OC Scanner and the 3DMARK, the PC restarted after a little running.

So guys, do you have any ideas? The PSU can be causing this? I'm just tired of thinking by myself, without finding a solution. Thanks everyone and I'm sorry for any writing mistakes, english isn't my first language.

That was my first thought and lead me to RMA the last one, but it isn't overheating. I did another test with Furmark, reducing the fan speeds to "46%" and the temp of GPU rose to near 100° (97° to be exact), with no restart. Before I RMA the last GPU to EVGA, I saw the temps of GPU before the restarts on Performance X log, it was always between 70° and 78°. I'll change the CMOS battery, but I can't see how a battery can cause this problems. Can a simple battery cause BSOD and/or suddenly system resets? :??:

Hi Jack. Just passed the OCCT (max core temp of 69° at ambient conditions) and setted the RAM timings and V manually, the problem still here. You can see the core temps on the image above:

Thanks.
