Will these components fit together?

Hey everybody, i hope im posting in the right spot! Anyway, i am building a custom pc and am picking out the parts, i have done some research and think these will fit. However, you can never be too sure. The last thing i want is to buy the CPU and discover it doesent fit the motherboard.

That is my full list of stuff, i am unsure about the ram, should i go 8x4gb, 8x8gb, or just 4x4gb; and if i can go with 2400 or 1600.
I am kinda going all out on this one. And should i go with the gtx 670? I will be playing bf3 and bf4(when it comes out), some fps games, and more games. I will be doing some video editing too.
If you guys could tell me if my parts are compatible that would be amazing, and also if i forgot anything. P.S. The 3tb hardrive is for backup stuff.
Thanks much.

More about components fit
  1. Everything you listed is compatible. I would bump the RAM up to 1866. Unless you are using CAD, running virtual machines or editing insanely large files, you dont need more than 16Gigs of RAM.

I would also Increase the graphics card. Get into a 7970. If you need to find room in your budget, drop that motherboard. You will do just fine with something in the $200 range.
  2. Thanks, would a gtx670 be a better option? Also the max ram speed for my motherboard is 2133(i think)? So that means the 2400 i found wont work :(. And for ram, does the limit only depend on the mobo or also the processor?
    Ram's found:
I know my motherboard is overboard but i figured i might as well spend the extra doh and get a better one (since it lasts a long time). Also What is the difference between Ivy Bridge and Sandy Bridge E? I was just looking at the 3770k and didnt know what that meant.
  3. 2400MHz RAM will be underclocked but it will work.
1.5v 2133 RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233332 albeit with huge heatsinks.
  4. So i did a little more research and discovered that my motherboard supports up to 2800MHz but my CPU only supports 1600MHz. :( Does that mean 2400 wont work?
  5. Once again, it means it will be underclocked. It is recommended to use memory not exceeding 1.55v with intel CPUs with integrated memory controllers.
  6. You are going overkill with many things. First of all, 16 GB RAM is all you need. Second, you can go with a pn Asrock Z77 Extreme4 motherboard for $140. With the saved money, go for a 7970. Also get the i7 3770k.
  7. I agree. Anything over 16GB RAM is overkill even for a high end system.
  8. Why is the 3770k much more popular then the 3820 and 3930k? Is it because of the ivy bridge? I will also be getting only 16gb of ram. I was orginaly going to get the Asus Rampage IV formula but with 30 more $ I could get the Extreme. What is the equivalent NVIDIA of the Radeon 7970? I want to go with NVIDIA. Thanks for the recommendations!
  9. The 7970 is roughly half way between the GTX670 and the GTX680.
  10. So if i were to get a 670 that would be good? Or would I need a 680? I will be playing BF3 and some more games.
  11. Asus GTX670-DC2-4GD5 GeForce GTX 670 4GB 915MHz $426.98
    Asus GTX680-DC2-4GD5 GeForce GTX 680 4GB 1.01Ghz $542.98
Those are the 670 and 680.
