Hey guys, I want to build a very budget-conscious computer that will run my games pretty well. I find myself unable to decide which CPU will be better, though. Here's where my build currently stands:

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($67.98 @ Outlet PC)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 7790 1GB Video Card ($129.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Fractal Design Core 1000 USB 3.0 ATX Mid Tower Case ($40.04 @ NCIX US)
Power Supply: Antec 450W ATX12V Power Supply ($39.15 @ NCIX US)

The other CPU I've been considering is the Intel Core i3-3220 3.3GHz Dual-Core Processor. It's cheaper with very similar specs, but doesn't support overclocking. Also been looking at Intel Core i3-3225 3.3GHz Dual-Core Processor, which is roughly the same price.

If you guys could give your input on the matter that would be wonderful. Also, if you have any other potential improvements to my build I'd really appreciate those. :)

Edit: No OS included in build because I already own a Windows 7 Home Premium disc.

Despite what people will tell you. Go FX 6300! It's worth the money, especially if you OC. And if you're playing on a 60Hz monitor, you won't notice the difference between a i5 and a FX 6300. Keep in mind you're also going to fully bottleneck the i3 before you bottleneck a FX 6300. The FX 6300 has more to offer.

The biggest reason I've been considering the i3 is because it has better single-thread performance, which is supposedly a lot more preferable for most video games.

If you're playing on a 60Hz monitor, you're not going to notice the difference between an i5 and a FX 6300. Just trust me on this one. You can't OC an i3. You're far better off buying a FX 6300, You will get a lot more out of it. especially for gaming. People are idiots that suggest an i3. If you want to upgrade GPUs, you're stuck with a dual core bottleneck.
