What is a more powerfull combo ?

Hi there. I am currently building my first gaming rig. I am just wondering if i should get a AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor with a Saffire OC HD 7850 or a AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor with a PowerColor Radeon HD 7870 XT 2GB Video Card.

The setup is for gaming. Which of the two setups would i get the most power out of.

I was just mainly wondering if there was a big difference in performance between the FX-8320 and the FX-6300 that would outway the upgrade in the GPU. Are there even any games that use 8 cores ?
