Hello,
When the fan speed profile (slider on the graphic card) is on "Performance", my PC fails to boot and/or show the display. I can some hard disk activity and the num lock key seems to be working and the GPU fans seem to be running at their normal speed
I tried updating my Motherboard BIOS and have the latest graphics drivers.

Do you have any idea why this could be?

I have a Corsair VS550. My CPU is kind of old, Intel Core 2 Duo 6970. Core Voltage is 1.26V and speed is 2675Mhz
I've updated the description and title. I think it might be booting, but i can't say for sure since the display is blank.

550watt PSU is good enough. It shouldn't be a power issue.

Remove all the drivers and install the ones that came on the CD.

If that fails to work, go into Device Manager -> [display adapters] -> your card -> download latest drivers

Sometimes the drivers can mess up.

Ok will try that. Thank you.
One question though. I don't even see the mother board flash screen when i switch on the PC. Would it really be a driver issue then?

Try to reseat your graphics card..
and clean the golden brigde with eraser..
and check the output cable..
Try to use different dvi/vga/hdmi port..

If your system can boot, then your card is work, but fail to give signal to monitor..
This is can be problem on the cable, graphic card port, or chip display in the card has failed..

if it's still doesn't work and your card still in warranty, rma.
But if your card out of warranty, maybe this is the time for baking technique..:D
