Hi all! I hope i post in the right section, i think i do. So, i bought an external HD (WD 5OOGB Elements) and a tv recorder (or maybe it's called a tv tuner), mainly for recording my favourite tv series which airs at nights. I managed to record 9 episodes with no problems but after that point, every episode that i record (7 so far, actually 5 and 2 reruns) has a vertical purple (and occasionally green) bar on the right edge of the screen.
It is visible when all colours are being shown except black and white and i see it only when i playback the episode in my computer or in my tv, not in real time when the show is being broadcasted. The strange thing that drives me nuts is the fact that this purple bar is only there on my show! I tried many many times recording other stuff from various tv channels and there is no such problem. The bar appears only when my show starts (it's not there in the previous show when i recorded that too) and then it disappears (i mean, in the remaining seconds after the show is over, till i stop recording).
I don't know what to think guys, if anyone could offer a solution i would be grateful. If this continues in all the remaining episodes, is there a way to remove this bar without cropping the picture? Anyway, thanks for reading.
