Please help me sirs. My case has this connector (the 1st pic), it's for USB2.0 as what they say. But my mobo has this "socket" (2nd pic). And the manual says if the pictures doesn't match, don't attach it (3rd pic). The case connector has only 5 female pins (1key), the mobo has 9 male pins.
Bout the first paragraph, I figured it out. The D- = USB0-, and D+ = USB0+. I got confused there because the MOBO's manual and the one printed on the connectors were different. So I'll just attach that one on the bottom batch of pins correct?
Another thing, if you look at the 4th picture, the front panel connectors like power, reset, and led indicators has a molex connector also. What am I supposed to do with the molex connector? This is my first build so sorry for the noobness..... I know I can just attach it to my PSU directly, but I want to know what does it do.... I have a feeling it's for the led lights of the case on front.
Last thing, during the step when I was attaching the 24pin power for the mobo, I think I might have put too much pressure on the mobo............... Did I damage it.....? How much force does it take to break some pins inside the mobo? I can not power it up yet because I don't have my monitor, keyboard, and mouse yet.
Thank you all.
SPECS:
