So I got my new card and installed it before removing my older card's drivers (bad idea i know) and was able to get into windows then go some error window (couldnt see it fasted enough) and then a BSOD. After that I could post, and hear the login in screen default sound but the screen was black... and even typing in my password worked and I can hear the final default windows desktop load up sound.

When I first got this issue I updated my bios and reseated the card to no avail. After reinstalling my old card (hd6950) everything worked fine. I then removed the driver using device manager and rebooted with the new card, same issue came up.

Should i try putting my old card back in, install the drivers for the new card and see what happens?

I don't think it is a power issue since my PSU is 850W and the fans are running fine. Need to figure out what could be the problem before I try to RMA it back to newegg.

Any help would be great.

as for system specs.., dont remember all names and numbers,
Asus M4A89TD Pro/usb3
Corsair 8gb 1600 mem
256 SSD
750gb HDD
Courgar 850W modular PSU
Cooler Master HAF X case
