how can i detect a faulty ram....i mean software...i used memtest but it seems it does not recognize the name of my corsair vengeance 1660mhz rams...though it tests them but still i need to know ...........any help would be good
The most common way to test ram is by memtest86 and it is highly recommended as the best software to do so.
You can manually test the ram sticks to see if any are not working by removing them and placing one at a time in the first slot to see what happens with Windows recognizing it.
What is causing you to think there is something wrong with your ram?
If Windows shows the full amount of ram installed and then says that all of it is usable then it's not faulty.
