Hi guys I have a Asus M5A78L-M LX V2 motherboard (the 8GB version) and i noticed its already windows 7 ready but can it take windows 8 also? I ran the system comparability tool from Microsoft for windows 8 to see if they were compatible and it came back positive?

Also, is it worth upgrading to windows 8? I love windows 7 but want to try windows 8 as well...

I don't see why a motherboard would not be compatible with any OS as long as the drivers are there. The Windows 7 ready thing is just advertising.

As for the upgrade to Windows 8, I personally don't like Windows 8. You'll have to make the assessment yourself. If you already have Windows 7, stick with it. It's not worth the money to upgrade.
