ok the 660 is 205 and the hd 7870 is 230 is it worth the extra 25 dollars. ill mostly be playing games at 1080p max settings. also does physx make a huge difference in games?

I would buy the 660 coes it's cheaper and the HD 7870 isn't that much faster then the 660.
But if you're playing on higher resolutiun the HD 7870 is a bit better but they are almost neck in neck, if you have the money buy the HD 7870 but if you want to safe some go for the GTX 660.

I would actually counter alain because while the gtx 660 can be around 10 dollars cheaper than the 7870, I have found 7870's on sale for 205 and to me they seem to perform much better than the 660. I have a 7870 hawk myself and have to say that it performs very well. It overclocks much higher than the 660's that I have tried. Anyway, if you have to cut as low as possible, buy the 7850 because even then the memory bandwidth will be better than the 660.
