Has anyone had any experience with ordering from NCIX and opting for them to assemble the computer? I am looking into this because I want a custom computer but don't want to build it and deal with DOA parts or other issues. Please do not respond saying just build you're own computer.

I ordered a bunch of parts to build a complete high end PC in November. My first intention was to assemble it all myself. Just before checking out, they offered in-house assembly and a one year warranty for $50. I figured, why not? They offered burn-in, testing and of course, as you mentioned not having to deal with DOA parts, returns etc.

It arrived after about 2 weeks. The delay because the motherboard was out of stock. They did a fantastic job of assembly. All the cables were neatly bundled up and zip-tied. The inside of the case was filled with bubble wrap for cushioning during shipping. The video card was not installed to prevent damage from vibration during shipping because it was quite heavy. All the boxes and pieces were shipped in another carton.

Since I also purchased Win 7, they also installed the OS, motherboard drivers, SSD drivers, etc. After letting everything warm up (it arrived on a Sunday in December), it booted up with no problems. Zero problems since.

I would buy another computer like that in a heartbeat. Also saved big $$ as I caught a sale for most of the stuff I bought. The $50 assembly charge was cheap for the great job they did. Saved me a lot of time to do it myself and worry about DOA parts, RMA, etc. This is for NCIX in Canada.

Thanks for the quick and detailed response. They seem like a great company. I am pretty confident I can build the computer but I don't want to deal with all the other crap that goes with it.
