When will 2560x1440 Monitors get cheaper?

I know there are some South Korean monitors out there, but I don't like taking the risk of that plus the custom duties, so when will they get to a reasonable price? Say £500 for a 27" inch.

EDIT: I know that nobody can say for defo but surely they will get cheaper some time?

Well in the US there are a lot of inexpensive options, my personal favorite being the Auria EQ276W from microcenter. Dunno if you could import one of those or what it would cost.

To be honest, my personal guess is that 1440p will need to be eclipsed by commonly available 4k monitors before they get cheaper. Most people seem happy supporting the 1080p virus indefinitely. So long as people have this nonsense notion in their heads that 1080p is high resolution, I don't think the world of monitors is going to improve.

I might just go and buy myself a 120HZ monitor, I want a 27" inch, so if I go 1080 then it shouldn't cost me to much. Just got myself my first desk with 180cm of length :)
