Do I need Catalyst drivers for HD7770 if want to use ASUS Virtu in iMode?

I've been using my current PC for about 17 months with the integrated HD3000 GPU of my i5-2500K CPU, but I hadn't been able to get HDMI out from the ASUS P8Z68-V PRO motherboard. I finally broke down and decided for sure to get a discrete video card so I could get HDMI from that.

One of the advertised features of the ASUS motherboard is Virtu, which is supposed to intelligently use both the iGPU and the discrete GPU for a unique combination of power saving and performance.

For a discrete card I purchased and installed a HIS Radeon HD 7770 with 1GB DDR5 on it. As in the past with Radeon cards, I completely uninstalled the Intel HD Graphics driver and installed Catalyst 13.4 on all 3 of my OS's (WinXP SP3, Win7x86, and Win7x64). After a couple headaches, it seems that everything is working as I had hoped - including the HDMI out to a 46" TV - but this is all without using Virtu.

I rarely have time to use my PC for gaming, so I'm really intrigued by the potential of Virtu in iMode, but I'm really uncertain of the proper way to set it up.

To use Virtu in iMode, it appears that I would need to set the BIOS back to iGPU and hook my monitor up to the motherboard's DVI and reinstall the Intel HD Graphics driver. It doesn't seem that this would coexist well with Catalyst and the Radeon HD7xxx display driver, so am I supposed to remove them? If I did it this way, would I still be able to use the HDMI out of the HD7770?

Has anyone done this and can provide some guidance? Thanks!
