Hello everyone.
I'm trying to figure out if my nVidia 9800 GTX+ is fried. Yesterday, my monitor suddenly went on the fritz, and the picture became distorted and static. I tried doing a startup repair, which fixed the problem temporarily. However, after about 10 minutes of use, the screen went crazy again. Since then, I have not had a clear picture on my monitor. I have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers a few times and the problem has persisted. When I look in dxdiag, it can no longer detect my graphics card.
This leads met to believe my card is broken, but I want to be sure before I drop the cash on a new one. Does anyone have any advice on how to troubleshoot a broken graphics card? Any help would be much appreciated!
I've tried to attach pictures for reference but it won't let me, saying I need to be a confirmed member. I've already confirmed my email, so I'm not sure how to proceed.
