Hello Tom'sHardware First time posting :D

Anyways, i'm kinda worried. You see, I recently built my first PC and ordered an HD 7950 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202026] out of excitement. After doing some research I learned that my PSU, a CX600 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139028] only has 480 watts and the GPU "Requires" 500 watts.
My question is, will the PSU handle the GPU despite it's provided wattage?

Here are my current specs:
- Intel Core i5-3570K (non Oc'd)
- CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB 2 x 4GB @ 1600MHz
- ASRock Z77 Extreme4
- CORSAIR Builder Series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE

Thanks by the way :)

Ugh... that's a tough call. I mean, theoretically, your system should hover around 400 watts under full load. Still, this means you only have around 80 watts of leeway, which in my opinion is kind of close. But again, theoretically, it should be okay.

I see you have a Z77 motherboard. I think this goes without saying, but you really can't start overclocking anything as long as you have that PSU, just to be on the safe side.

I would advise in getting a 600W model would give your system more headroom since the wattage of your PSU will barely handle the GPU, if possible..

Look into brands such as Seasonic, Silverstone, XFX, Antec, and Corsair for 600-650 W models.

EDIT: Never mind, upon further inspection the PSU deliver 552 watts and 46 amps on 12V, guess I shouldn't of had read a year old review xD.
