Unplug reset switch from Asus Z77 board?

The other day I plugged in my headphones into the headphone jack on the front of my Corsair 550D and accidently hit the reset switch.

Obviously i dont want it to happen again so I'm wondering if I could just simply unplug the reset button from my Asus Sabertooth Z77 motherboard. Its a pretty stupid question but I was just wondering if the motherboard would refuse to post or something if it didnt detect the reset switch. Any help would be appreciated, thanks :)

No problem! Some cases don't even feature a reset switch.

By the way, I don't see how a reset switch would cause a system not to post. In its default state, it's basically just an extention for the header on the motherboard.

Thanks man, I just thought Asus may be fussy about it. I'm a bit paranoid because this is my first build and when I was 9 I used to love opening up and messing around things on my first PC and fucked it up in the process.
