Hello everyone and thank you for taking the time to read this.

I was wondering what kind of difference I would see in planetside 2 on high-ultra settings between these two graphics cards:

EVGA http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
EVGA http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Of course I'd much rather go with the cheaper one if the difference is minimal.

You won't see much difference really...just frames but it won't effect your performance. Just get the 650Ti Boost

You won't notice the loss of a few frames per second in games, BUT you may notice that you get a great game for free with the 660...

i was told by a friend that the end of the 600 part like the 6"50" and the 6"60" that the 50 was for like watching movies and the 60s were for gaming. im a big gamer is that true?

Sort of. The first number is just the generation number. So a 620 is newer then the 450. It's the second number that gives you an idea of the performance. Or is supposed to. That "20" means its a low end card meant for basic use. That older 450 will game a lot better. There is no clear cut range. But the higher those second numbers the faster the gaming. For the most part.

I so hate that site. It's garbage. Just ignore it.

There should be a pretty good difference between the normal 650TI and the 660. The 650TI boost and the 660 are the same chip more or less. Get the best you can afford, that makes sense for your system.

+1

Not even comparing the right card: OP's question was about the 650Ti BOOST, not the much cheaper and weaker 650Ti

That site generally sucks - what matters is gaming performance. ~10% difference from the 650Ti Boost to the 660.
