Looking for a USB Gaming Headset

Looking for suggestions on a quality USB gaming headset. This is for personal gaming use as well as some VOIP and voice recording, nothing too crazy. I don't think I want wireless as it still seems to have quirks, even with nicer headsets. I also don't care about surround sound at the expense of sound clarity.

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated as I see a LOT of mixed reviews on USB headsets and have no clue which direction to go in.

I have been avoiding the Corsair drivers for a while. It just seems like its always causing nitty gritty issues.
But then again it works just fine with windows drivers.

I ordered the SteelSeries Siberia V2 USB 7.1 headset. It seemed like the one with the least breakable mic.
