Do any modern cards use vga?

Im currently buying and pricing parts for a build and its my first one. Im noticing that everything is dvi. My old monitor which i planed to use is only vga. i plan on upgrading but i wanted to build my system first. From what im seeing though ill need a new monitor to even use a graphics card. Im looking at getting a hd7850, all i see is DVI. What if my motherboard has vga? cant i just hook up through that?

It has been a while since I saw a mid to high end card that included a native VGA connection. Most cards, however, do include at least one DVI to VGA adapter, so you shouldn't be forced to buy a new monitor. In a worst case scenario you would only need to spend a little money on an adapter if you buy a card that doesn't include one already.

cool thanks everyone. and yea it def time for a monitor upgrade, but i just dont have the cash left over from my tax return to get something decent so with-in a month ill probally pick one up.

Will the resolution loss be that noticeable? Am i going to really notice? Im coming off playing games on a xbox360 an old 40inch in 720p so im thinking anything will look good to me at this point
