Hey guys I have decided to try build my first gaming PC instead of buy and I was wondering if anyone would be able to review or give feedback on the parts I have chosen. I have chosen

-NZXT Crafted Series ATX full tower Steel Chassis Case
-Intel Core i5 3570K Quad-Core Processor 3.4GHz CPU
-NZXT Technologies Respire T40 Cooling Fan, Silver RC-TST40-01 CPU cooler
-Seagate Barracuda 3TB HDD SATA 6GB/s NCQ 64MB Cache 3.5 internal Bare Drive (Hard Drive)
-Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) 1600 MHz Desktop memory
-Asus P8Z77-V LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6GB/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
-ASUS 24xDVD-RW Serial ATA Internal OEM Drive (Optical Drive)
-Corsair Gaming Series 800-Watt ATX/EPS Bronze ATx12V 792 Power Supply GS800
-Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64bit (OEM)
-Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 7970 OC 3GB GDDR5 DVI-I/HDMI/2x Mini Display Port PCI-E 3.0 Graphics Card GV-R7970C-3GD

So I know I must have missed out on some parts if so please tell me and it will be much appreciated. Also can you tell me if any parts wont fit together or need improvement.

Can you give details as to what the PC will be used for ?

If just gaming you can cut back on RAM to 8gb.
Don't know why someone would need an optical drive now-a-days.
The Power supply is higher than what is needed. You'll do fine with an 550w. ( again need more details for recommendations )
You can get a more cost-effective Motherboard without really sacrificing much on features.

I will probably just be using it for gaming but i may want to get in to video-editing later on so I wasn't sure what I needed. Also is the rig future proof because I will like to end up playing games like BF4 on Ultra settings?

Its just that I don't want to end up wasting my money on components that will end up being inferior when all these new games are released.

You don't need it. If you can buy it, I definitely reccommend it. There are plenty good ones, and different sizes. I'm the type to have large applications and around 4-6 games installed at a time, so if you're like me you'd want to go for a 240 or 256gb SSD.

An SSD is pretty much a must for a gaming PC since it massively decreases load times and system boot time, giving you a better gaming experience. If you are low on budget i suggest getting a baseline capacity SSD, 120gb or 128gb i believe, to install the OS and a couple of games.
