So yesterday I purchased an AMD fx 8350 cpu to replace my fx 6100 cpu. On top of that I purchased an h70 corsair water cooler. After fiddleing around with the water cooler I had concluded it was a piece of junk and wouldnt sit right on my motherboard. I decidedd I would just go ahead on my own and install my new cpu. After cfinally getting yhe gam and heatsink on I go to turn on my pc. All lights and fans are on but im getting nothing on my monitor. I also noticed beaide my power input for the mono is a solid tep led titled cpu led or something. I swapped out the cpu thinking it was defective but when i put my old one it i had the same problem. Any idea whats up?

I have had this problem before. It's because your CPU isn't properly seated.

1. Lift the CPU and CHECK for bent pins (since you have an AMD, I think the pins are located on the CPU itself) You NEED to bend them back into place or else they won't fit right. I use tweezers for this.
2. Drop the CPU carefully into the slot and fasten it with the metal lever and lock the lever into place.

if the old cpu fails to work, its either a motherboard problem(what i had with a non amd related build i had built for someone else, which I isolated the problem by using my build as a part tester dummy), power supply(unlikely) or is a problem of bent pins
