Would this system be ok like in terms of all the components fitting in the case decently and other 'stuff' like good airflow so i have better temps and is the PSU enough ? will only be running on a single 1920x1080 monitor, don't plan on going xfire/sli

Planning to overclock the i5 to hopefully 4ghz and a little on the gpu..(never oc'd before).

Intel Core i5 3570K Ivy Bridge 3.40GHz 6MB 95W LGA1155
ASUS P8Z77-V LK Intel Z77 Ivy Bridge Motherboard
Mushkin Blackline FrostByte 996995 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3-1600
CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler
LG GH24NS95 24X DVD Writer SATA OEM
Samsung 840 Series 120GB SATA3 SSD (MZ-7TD120BW)
Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 64MB SATA3
Sapphire AMD Radeon HD7970 OC 3GB GDDR5 PCI-E3.0 (11197-03-40G)

The OC'd version of the card typically has a better PCB board, thus allowing higher overclocks. That card will do beyond fine. Although let me ask you something, do you plan on adding another graphic card eventually? If so then you will certainly need to upgrade the PSU. That being said, if you have to increase the CPU voltage much to get 4+ Ghz and do much of an OC on the GPU then you may consider upgrading it just to give you some head room.

On a side note. I am personally not a fan of Mushkin ram, but its by no means bad ram.

Other than that looks like a really solid build!

Everything looks really nice, it will have solid cooling as the CM storm scout II is a good ventilated case, the PSU is top notch and it's good for that rig. the EVO is a very good CPU cooler, I just went into my bios and limited my fan's RPM's, to keep the CPU under 55 c and the fant under level 5 ( out of 10) ...that way it'll only start to push more air once the cpu get's above 55 c.

Everything is fine, nice build and it has SAPPHIRE! But if I were you I would get the non oc'ed 7970 as you can do that yourself.

The power supply should be decent enough, but just google 7970 power consumption first to be sure.

Nope, i'm 99% sure i will never run dual gpus, should maybe just bump up the psu to 650 ? or should this be ok to overclock my cpu to 4ghz and just a little bit on the gpu.

I feel like you should be fine. I have a heavy OC on my Sapphire 7950, I haven't OC'd the CPU yet (waiting on my H220), but theoretically I have enough headroom to OC it significantly as well on a 650 Watt PSU
