As the title suggests.. what can you suggest i do with this?

Im also guessing that maybe the retention clips on the motherboard are putting too much pressure on to the processor, but would that be possible?

Is it concave (bent in) or convex (blown out)? If it is convex, the HS clips would have applied too much pressure on it; if its concave, its probably a defect and you should RMA it.

I dont have a picture of this, even if i did it wont be too clear to be able to see.. I just noticed this because i was putting thermal paste by using a technique which required me to flatten out the thermal paste on the surface of the heatsink not the IHS.. when i place the heatsink and let is sit for a few days I then removed it and i noticed that the sides of the CPU which was near the motherboard retention clips did not come to contact with the CPU..It is possible that the retention clips are bending my IHS? if so, how can i fix it? please help

Okay. As you removed the heatsink, your thermal paste has already spoilt. Clean the old paste and feel the CPU's surface by hand (ofcourse take care of static) to feel and bend. If the TIM did not reach the boundary of the IHS, then that does not mean that the IHS is bend.
