I built about 2 years ago a PC with a P8P67, core I7 2600k, cooler master hyper 212 heatsink, 8 gigs gskill DDR3 ram, GTX 460 and a inland 600w psu. It worked fine for two years. One day recently after bootup I got a boot message, cant remember exactly the words but I believe it was either USB over voltage or USB overload. I turned off and unplugged the pc for a while. When I tried booting again I get no video. I have reset CMOS with both jumper and battery removal, tried a new ATI PCIe video card, tried the other PCIe slot, tried 1 stick of ram in each slot and tried this with both sticks, I tried a different PSU, I took the motherboard out of the case, and I took everything apart and reattached the CPU and heatsink with fresh thermal paste. Nothing has gotten me video. The motherboard never once has beeped. All fans, lights and drives seem to start fine, but I never get video or any USB port power. I have no way to try a different CPU. Any suggestions?

Check a few things. One you could have a bent pin on your keyboard or mouse USB plug.or a bent pin on the case USB headers or the USB headers on the back of the mb is shorted out by the io shield. Try powering on with nothing plugged into the USB ports and unplug the USB ports from the mb. If you get video or a post beep. Have smoothing shorting out the USB port.

I checked all usb ports and headers and see nothing shorted. I took out the Ram, leaving only CPU, heatsink and cpu fans, 24 pin and 8 pin connectors, and I still get no beeps. I do not have the box the mb came in anymore, and the lady I spoke with at asus when this first happened didn't reconize the formatting of the numbers on the mb barcode sticker as a serial number.

If the message you read is right, you do have a short either with one of the usb ports of the board.
Also please make sure you have connected the exra 4 pin/8 pin 12v supply to the board as well as the 24 pin Atx power block.
located near the Cpu at the top edge, color is blue if i remember.
As the result, if not connected will be a power up of the system with fans spinning but no post of the bios.
or any beep error codes from the bios. It an easy thing to forget to plug the 4 pin 12v power. So check you have.
