Hey all,

I've narrowed my search down to these two cards. I want to know which one to get. For price, I would like to buy the first one, but want to know if the dual fans of the second one are worth it.

Either this:

Or this:

I'm leaning more towards the first but my worry is cooling. The second one has that dual fan action going on. Is that worth getting? Is there maybe something I could do for the first one if I buy that for cooling? Or will it really not make a difference?

They are the same board with same processing power and frequencies. so it actually doesnt matter much. Only difference is the memory frequency where one of them is 6200MHz (the black with single cooler) the other is 6008MHz (dual cooler fan)

I'd choose the one with single cooler which has faster memory frequency

Hi,

I have the original FTW edition card, but I have read many good things about the signature 2 cards, it is in general thought of as a upgrade in terms of design and reliability. In my opinion you should focus on the new signature 2 for silence and cooling, the signature 2 you can probably overclock quite well (beyond the other card most likely) and it is quieter than the original FTW.

Hope this helps,
Gabor

Well, overclocking a gpu yourself is barely stable most of the times. I'd always go for a factory overclocked chip if its for the same price especially. Why to bother and void the warranty where you can get the already overclocked one, so you wont lose the warranty too.
About the coolers people above are correct though, I agree... But it doesnt make too much difference about the noise. Above 60% rpm you can hear all fans anyway.
